Why is it ok for the offensive team to tip the ball in that's on the rim?
but you never see defensive players slap the ball out of the rim? is it a violation then?
also.. i don't understand why the player has to struggle and when get trapped by players?
like if you get crowded by two players and you are holding the ball down below you, couldn't you just bring your arms right up with the ball, even if your arm hit somebody, its their fault right?
It's not ok for anyone offense or defense to touch a ball if it is on or above the cylinder of the rim.
As for your second question, if the offensive player causes the contact they can be called for an offensive foul. They usually struggle because their passing lanes are cut off and they have terminated their dribble. It's hard to pass the ball if you can't clearly see the person you need to pass it to.
