Is it okay to let my bridesmaids pick out their own dresses?

I have looked through tons of bridesmaid dresses and I can't make up my mind. So I thought it would be a good idea to give my bridesmaids info about what my dress looks like, so they can pick something that is cohesive. Also I was going to tell them that it should be black with or without pink accents(my wedding colors are black and shades of pink), knee-length, and that all they have to do is show it to me and I will approve it.

Why not? This is your wedding, so do it as you please. Especially if you are expecting your bridesmaids to purchase their own dresses, but even if not, they want to wear what fits their body shape and looks good on them. As long as you can be happy with the variety that might be the result, I think you're on the right track. Etiquette marms and high fashion people might disagree...but I always say : Those who love me will forgive me, and those who don't I don't care what they think.

Every girl gets excited by the time that their school announces that the prom night is just a couple of months away. Unfortunately, not everyone has enough money to buy for the most elegant looking prom dresses that are available in most couture shops. However, this should not be a reason to stop you from getting that dress for this memorable event. There are now cheap prom dresses that are not just cost-effective, but very glamorous at the same time.

Keep in mind that if you are aiming for your prom dresses, it is important that you start searching at least a couple of months before the event. Dress shops are usually aware about the date that these proms from different schools would be held. Therefore, if the demand for such dresses is high, it is unlikely that they would give discounts or have elegant dresses that are 30 to 50 percent off. While others look for inexpensive dresses for prom as early as three to four months ahead of the highly anticipated moment, there are some who get their cheap dresses at least six months prior to the prom date. Although this can be a very good idea, you just have to make sure that you will still maintain your body so the gown can still fit when the prom night comes.

There are also some shops where you can find dress worn by bridesmaids as well. While others would let you rent these secondhand bridesmaids dresses you can always ask if they could sell it to you instead. The price would be two times lower than the cost of buying a brand new dress. Usually these gowns are still in good condition and had gone through a laundry shop before they hang it in their boutiques.

Of course, you can always look for economical dress on the Internet. You have a wider choice since hundreds of websites are offering this kind of service and the competition is actually tight especially as the prom season comes. Aside from the inexpensive price, there are some websites that still offer discounts as well especially if you buy it a couple of months before the prom night. The best thing about the cheap prom dresses is that it is unlikely that you will see the same design on boutiques near you. These are more unique and elegant which can help you stand out during the prom.
