Engagement Party: Not quite as dressy as cocktail attire. How should I word that?

I am throwing a cocktail type engagement party for friends of mine. I am hoping to avoid people wearing jeans and tshirts - this is a special night and I want it to feel that way. I am just a little unsure of what wording to use... I would say cocktail attire except that it's not quite that dressy. Would 'dressy casual' work? Or maybe casual cocktail attire? Any suggestions are appreciated!
It's going to be a little bit larger age range 25-45 probably closer. We don't know a lot of the people that are on the guest list so that is a guess but the bride is mid thirties and the groom is early 40's... we are late 20's. So there will be a mix.

I'm assuming it's a young crowd ... 20-30 somethings? If you really don't want jeans, I would say "casual elegant." or "casual chic". If nice jeans and a dressy shirt are OK, then "dressy casual".

With an older crowd, dressy casual would not translate to jeans. With a younger crowd, it may.
