Gown Maxi
Am i overpacking for the hospital??
Okay I have two small bags packed and I just wanted to know if I was exaggerating (first time mom). I have the following packed..
FOR MOM AND DAD
-Toiletries such as deoderant, toothpaste, toothbrush, shampoo, body wash, maxi pads
- nursing pads
- 2 night gowns
- 3 pairs of underwear
- 2 bras
- slippers and robe
- going home clothes
- camera and video camera
- a season of Friends
- change of clothes for my husband
FOR BABY
- diapers
- wipes
- going home outfit
- booties and mittens
- 2 receiving blankets
Is there something on the list that I don't need or is there something missing that I absolutely need..Thanks
there are a few things i'd omit, and one I'd add - bring your own pillow. the hospital ones are these plastic ones that are SO uncomfortable.
Things I'd omit - don't bother with maxi pads, the hospital will provide you with plenty. You won't need nursing pads either as your milk won't be in before you leave. you probably only need one pair of underwear, for when you leave... I just wore the mesh undies the hospital gives you while I was there, because i was bleeding so heavy I didn't want to stain my own undies. DVD's... you won't have time to watch them, and my hospital at least didn't have DVD players in the rooms. You won't need diapers or wipes for the baby, the hospital will supply you with plenty.
