Swing Dress

Suprising our wedding guests with a swing dance, but don't want to dance in my wedding dress. Any suggestions?

The wedding dress will be too difficult to do a swing dance in, and I'm at a loss for what to do. Should I change into a personalized "sweatsuit" and then back into the dress? Ahh!

I would suggest changing into a nice, comfortable dancing outfit. Swing dancing provokes images of women in knee or ankle-length skirts and cute big-band-era tops. You could easily put together an outfit and pair it with some amazng white leather swing shoes! Swing clothes are very easy to make and easy to find in patterns if you choose to go that route. Maybe your groom would be feelin' a little zoot suit action and some spats too?? That'd be so cool! The entire transformation could take place before you enter the reception hall and a swing dance would definitely set a great lively mood for the rest of the evening! Ask your makeup and hair artist if she can give you a retro-glam look for the reception even, red lipstick is to die for and pin curls are a must!
